Child Marriage Campaign Rath

A special awareness chariot has been prepared by Janseva Gramin Vikas Va Shikshan Pratisthan, Nanded, to promote the eradication of child marriage. The initiative was inaugurated by the Honorable District Collector, Mr. Rahul Kardile, who flagged off the chariot.

The chariot will travel across the entire district, initially covering Nanded city and four talukas, as well as schools, colleges, and villages where the incidence of child marriage is higher. Through this campaign, awareness will be created that “child marriage is a punishable offense by law.” Information about the Child Helpline number 1098 will also be shared with citizens.

The chariot includes awareness songs, posters, and a pledge against child marriage, aiming to effectively sensitize the community.

The Honorable District Collector also signed the chariot and extended his best wishes, appreciating this initiative. He praised the efforts of the District Women and Child Development Department and Janseva Gramin Vikas Va Shikshan Pratisthan, Nanded.

On this occasion, staff members of Janseva, the District Coordinator of Child Helpline, and other personnel were present in large numbers.
